Auburn Hills Writers' May Session

Hello Writers!
 
This month our group meets Thursday, May 21st at the Auburn Hills Library located at 3400 Seybyrn in Auburn Hills.  We will start at 6:30 but, this time only, our end time will be 8:00pm.   
            
We will discuss writing accomplishments, enjoy a writing exercise and critique your work.  
Remember to bring six sets (two pages double spaced) of the work you want critiqued and any evidence of challenges we discussed in April. 
 
Bring:
·       Notebook
·       Pen
·       Laptop
·       Tablet
 
Beginning next month, I will highlight member blogs in the monthly email.  If you want yours included, please email me the link.

Also, if you attended the Rochester Writers or Celebrate the Mitten conferences in April, please share your experience with the group on Thursday.  Bring any books you purchased or notes from sessions.

Writing Group and Summer Writing Contest

The Freelance Marketplace Writers' Group meets this Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Rochester Hills Barnes & Noble Bookstore at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to new, working, and published authors, photographers, and illustrators. We discuss the Business of Writing. We always welcome new members and have an informal open conversation. Topics may include writing contests, freelance work, self-publishing, and more.

Rochester Writers is hosting its 2015 Summer Writing Contest. Entries are now being accepted online and by mail. Four categories with cash prizes. Sponsored by Rochester Media. Details and submission guidelines available online at the contest page for Rochester Writers.
