I'm so late.

I had a lot to wrap my mind around and then a lot of friends and associates were passing away.

It's a bad time for everyone, but I didn't want to stop writing.

Not for myself and not for you guys.

I'll try to do better. thank you for not giving up on me.

Palmer Park Art Fair authors tent deadline has extended to March 29

It's not too late to join the author tent at the Palmer Park Art Fair. We have extended the deadline to Monday, March 29.

You can also apply for the Funky Ferndale author tent at the same time!

See below to download the forms

Greetings. I am contacting to see if you may be interested in selling and signing your books in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Integrity Shows is pleased to announce that we will again be incorporating a literary aspect to our art fairs. Thousands of people attend these annual events and we will be making sure that they are aware of their opportunity to meet authors and purchase books. Many attendees have shown that they are an educated group of buyers of art and books. I believe they represent the perfect audience for your book(s).

Last year, the Palmer Park Art Fair was our first endeavor to offer authors a valuable space to sign and sell books. Our author tent was comprised of tables with more than eighteen local self-published authors and publishers who were very pleased with their experience. In fact, most of those original authors will be returning this year. If you participate, you will also have the opportunity to perform a short reading and QA session on the main stages during the fairs.

In addition, we are excited to tell you that we are also adding an author tent to the Funky Ferndale Art Fair this year.

Attached are applications for both the Palmer Park (due extended to Monday, March 29) the Funky Ferndale (due Sunday, May 17) author tents. You may submit applications individually or simultaneously. Please send a check with your application(s) or contact me with a credit card number to put on hold.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Do you love raw, real and naked? Crosshatch accepting journal entries #michiganwriters #michlit #motownwriters

Do you love raw, real and naked? There isn't anything more raw, real and naked than a person's personal journal/diary. Most people don't share them with others and I'm passionate about changing this. I'm passionate about taking vulnerability to the next level, by publishing people's personal journals/diaries. Let's be bold and courageous, let's share them!
Crosshatch Publishing is currently accepting submissions of personal journal entries. www.crosshatchpublishing.com
I feel so called to this. I have been fascinated by my own journaling for a decade now because I love experiencing insights, growth and transformation. I know there are others out there who feel the same way about their lives and their journaling.
The definition of crosshatch is to mark with two series of parallel lines that intersect. I see this design visually in my mind as a representation of the connection between the journal writer and the reader. I would LOVE to connect people through our shared humanity and through our personal journals.
Please share this information with your email list. Thank you!
Have a beautiful day!

Thanks in advance,
Sarai E. Phegley

🎧Episode 27: How Building Your Personal Brand Supercharges the Growth of Your Company or Organization via @pamperry

Welcome to the age of personal branding! Whether you're trying to build a business or a career, how you demonstrate your skills, express your personality, and highlight your achievements will either lift you higher, hold you back, or leave you far behind.

We're in the 21st century, where you and your business are one and the same. When someone thinks about doing business with you, they're going to search google and social media to learn about you, not your company.

It's not personal … even big businesses like Amazon and Zappos have CEOs who've stepped out from behind the corporate logo to become the face of their company.

So, if you've been hiding behind your bio and some Instagram pictures, we're here to tell you that it's time to be seen for who you truly are and what you know, think, believe, and create.

In this episode, we'll discuss the value of your unique story, the importance of knowing your purpose, why your core message is a great place to start, the questions people have about you and your business (and where they'll look for answers), how the line between a business and who runs it has disappeared, how consistency plus endurance will boost your brand and your business, and how all of this gives you power and control.

Is your personal brand reflected accurately and effectively in your social media profiles and your website? Schedule a session with us, and we'll assess all your online properties, then offer suggestions and direction for putting your best foot forward.

***

Send in your questions! We'll share our answers in an upcoming podcast.

Highlights From This Episode:

  • 3 things people want to know about the person at the helm of your organization
  • Where people will look for clues about your values, beliefs, and characteristics
  • 2 things you must have at the core of your personal branding
  • Our one-word answer to the question: What does social media have to do with personal branding?
  • Vernita's 5-step process for gathering information on a company or organization
  • Ready or not, you are the face of your organization – here are two examples
  • Success Story! She shared this on Instagram and won big-time PR for her company
  • Proof that even people who work in corporate have a personal brand
  • What to post on social media to position you for that next promotion
  • What NOT to post on social media, unless it's your focus or profession
  • How your personal story becomes part of your brand
  • Why you should start with your core message
  • Where you DON'T have to be to promote your personal brand
  • How your personal brand gives you flexibility, strength, opportunity, and power
  • How a strong personal brand can position you to become an influencer
  • Success Story! How focusing on the accomplishments of others built a strong personal brand
  • How to promote your book through your personal brand (and click here for 7 essential steps to launch your book)
  • Why just throwing money at a publicist or branding expert doesn't work
  • Why you shouldn't give up after your fifth, seventh, or tenth podcast
  • An alarming example of personal branding gone wrong
Enjoy!
