Touring Michigan's Upper Peninsula (U.P.) is like taking a two-week trip by station wagon. Not in terms of time—you can sample plenty if four days is all you have. It’s about stepping back and appreciating a place of raw scenic beauty dotted with roadside attractions, blinker-light towns, rustic cabins and hand-painted signs advertising smoked fish and homemade jam.
With 100 Things to Do in the Upper Peninsula Before You Die, discover a land mostly surrounded by the Great Lakes Huron, Michigan and Superior, linked to the state’s Mitten-shaped Lower Peninsula by a five-mile suspension bridge…
Kristina Riggle Presents: Vivian In Red
Join us in celebration of the paperback release of local author Kristina Riggle's newest novel, VIVIAN IN RED.

A novel of 1930s Broadway and today, VIVIAN IN RED is about the clouded history of how a famed Broadway producer’s most famous song is connected to a woman from his past.

Famed Broadway producer Milo Short may be eighty-eight but that doesn't stop him from going to the office every day. So when he steps out of his Upper West Side brownstone on one exceptionally hot morning, he's not expecting to see the impossible: a woman from his life sixty years ago, cherry red lips, bright red…

Local Author Takes Bestselling Book to the Stage

Detroit, MI—Everyone has something in their past they’d like to forget. But when the picture becomes somewhat distorted, and cracks are revealed in the frame, will this family rebound from life’s fires or be consumed by second-hand smoke?
The book, When the Smoke Clears: A Phoenix Rises, addresses the fires of life and techniques to douse the flames, encouraging readers to resurrect from the ashes into victorious living. The book encourages readers to know that, although they may be thrust into the fire, when the smoke clears, they will emerge unscathed!
