Date: Thursday, June 20th Time: 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Location: Third Level, Library On Thursday, June 20th the Southfield Public Library, with generous support from the Southfield City Centre, is pleased to offer its 4th annual Genealogy Lock-In. This popular program is a Study Hall where genealogists of any level can gather together in the Library to conduct their research. The Library doors will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to pre-registered Lock-In researchers only. Promptly at 7:00 p.m., the doors will close and the researchers will be in effect locked in until 10:00 p.m. It's a self-directed opportunity to research, organize, write or simply ponder your family history during those hours of peace and quiet. There is a $10 fee, payable in exact cash on the night of the Lock-In. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Registration begins Monday, June 3, either by phone (248) 796-4224 or in person at the Guest Services desk; please specify whether you plan to use a Library computer or will bring your own.
