  • Sessions provide challenging educational and training experiences in the fine and performing arts across multiple disciplines: visual arts, dance, theatre, and jazz music.
  • Several sessions  include a portion dedicated to improving college readiness.

·        Sessions are taught by both professional artists who live and work in the Detroit area and by University of Michigan faculty and students.

 Curriculum Highlights

Visual Arts Academy - Painting

Students will practice a variety of techniques that better develop and prepare them to move forward in the creation of art and into more advanced arts education (i.e. self critique, peer critique, portfolio development, writing artist statements).

                Dance Academy
