Twisted Storytellers kicks off Season Five with Global Love Stories

DETROIT, MI –– The award-winning Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers will kick off Season Five with four storytellers who will tell true, personal stories of love onstage. The award-winning, monthly event has received positive reviews and has been recognized for its artistic contribution to Detroit,
"Storytelling is a way for people to learn more about themselves and each other," says Juanita Moore, president of the Charles H. Wright Museum, which hosts the events. "People coming to these shows experience a feeling of life, growth and excitement through connecting, and that deserves a place to be showcased."
"I ain't seen nothing like it," says Dick Gregory. "Stay in touch with the storytellers. It can heal."
The Society's next event "Global Love Stories" will take place Friday, February 17th, 8PM at The Wright Museum. Playwright, TJ Hemphill, Artist, Kaiya Hicks, Spokesperson, Eva Toby and State Senator Bert Johnson will tell true, personal stories on the theme.
