This year, we are proud to offer breakout sessions with six area professionals on the topics of poetry, self-promoting with podcasts, memoirs, working with publishers, writing for children and story shaping. All genres and skill levels are welcome. For teens and adults. Sign up for limited, one-on-one editing sessions separately.

12:10 p.m. - Lunch (a light lunch will be provided; details to come)

Author of The Dead Wrestler Elegies and co-author with Amorak Huey of Poetry: A Writer's Guide and Anthology, Todd is currently co-editor of the online literary magazine Waxwing, and an assistant professor in the Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University.

Author of eight books, Aric is married with one daughter and lives in Grand Rapids, where he worked for 16 years as a body piercer; he now writes full time.

Kevin is an award-winning artist, performer, and the author or co-author of several books, including The Tomato Collection and Spinach Dip Pancakes.

Story Shaping
Graduate of the Writing Seminars at Bennington College and the author of the children’s book, Higher Ground, with Caldecott-winning artist, Mary Azarian.
