Recent reads:  The Spy in Question by Tim Sebastian and Candlemoth by Roger Jon Ellory.  I thought the Sebastian book (his first novel) had an authentic feel, full of mistrust and multiple agendas.  It certainly didn't make me forget John le Carre, but I will probably give Sebastian another try.  The Ellory book is also a first novel.  It was shortlisted for the CWA Steel Dagger Award and falls in the crime category, but it really is literature.  A coming-of-age novel that takes us through America in the late 1950s through the early 1970s.  I liked this quite a bit, but my next book is going to need a lot more action!   Ken Hebenstreit, Bookseller | 813 N.
