Downloadable Media @ the Southfield Public Library
Learn how to download eBooks to your Kindle, Nook, or other readers and tablets!
The Southfield Library will offer a series of classes to assist patrons wanting to learn how to download books to a variety of readers and tablets. All classes run for 1 - 1 ½ hours and will be presented in the Meeting Room. Please register in person at the Guest Services Desk. Registration begins at 9:30am on Friday, March 23. There is a non-refundable $5.00 charge per class payable in cash at the time of registration.
The classes offered are as follows:
Tuesday, April 17 at 10:00 am: Kindles Bring your Kindle and your laptop along to learn how to download eBooks. You may need to connect your Kindle to your laptop, so be sure to bring along the necessary cords.
Tuesday, May 15 at 10:00 am: Tablets Bring your iPad or tablet to learn about the apps that will make downloading eBooks a snap!
Tuesday, June 19 at 10:00 am: Nooks and other Readers Bring in your Sony, Nook or other non-Kindle eReader and your laptop and let us show you how to download eBooks and transfer them to your device. You may need to download a free program called Adobe Digital Editions and you may need to connect your eReader to your laptop, so be sure to bring along the necessary cords.
