Good Morning Writers!
I am working with a local no-kill animal shelter, attempting to raise funds to save dogs from death row.
Instead of the traditional (and dull) walk-a-thon, we're holding a writing competition and fundraiser. We are accepting entries from ten different categories, which I believe includes all the major genres. Entry fees are just $15 per submission. Each entry will be eligible to win a 1st prize of $200, 2nd prize of $100, and 3rd prize of $50. In addition, there will be prizes awarded for entries who reach "honorable mention" status, as well as a special prize awarded to the top fundraiser. And, all entries will be published in a collective "anthology" at the end of the competition, which will be available for sale on Amazon.com. And finally, 100% of the proceeds will go to save dogs at Almost Home, a shelter in Southfield, MI.
This is a cause I am particularly passionate about, and I would appreciate you passing the news of this writing contest on your writer friends and family. Interested writers can get all the details and register (or simply donate to the shelter) by visiting our website at www.WriteToWoof.org.
