Another Successful Community Read... ...thanks to our sponsors: Friends of the Novi Public Library, Barnes and Noble, Sheraton Novi, and the Neighborhood Library Association (NLA). This year's Community Read of "The Art of Racing in the Rain" resulted in 1,087 checkouts of the title in a 12-week period, a packed house at the Novi Library for a very special Author Event with Garth Stein on November 10, and a fantastic turn-out for a variety of related programs at the five NLA libraries. We were extremely pleased by the response from our community and are in the beginning stages of planning for next year's event! Please contact us with any feedback that we can incorporate into future Community Read events. |
Celebrate the Holidays! Enjoy the Library's new winter tree on the 1st floor near the fireplace lounge. Our sincere thanks to Theresa Coloske of Just Gardens for the Holidays, who donated her time and talent to beautifully decorate the tree. |
A Gift to the Library...Before Tax Credits Expire This month is your last opportunity to take advantage of significant tax credits when donating to the Novi Public Library, as they expire on December 31, 2011. Thank you to all who consider making donations in the form of trees, brick pavers, naming opportunities, adopting magazines, or general gifts - you've helped make the Library a very special part of the community! |
Why Drive to Pontiac? The Oakland County Clerk's Mobile Office is setting up shop at the Library on December 14 from 11am-1pm with laptop computers and printers so that our patrons can receive on-the-spot copies of birth certificates, death certificates, or other public records. |
Thank You Friends! The Friends of the Novi Public Library presented the Library with a generous $30,000 donation at the November 16 Library Board Meeting. We can't thank the Friends enough for their 50 years of support and partnership. |
Catch Your Eye? Have you noticed the new artwork at the Checkout Desk? The beautiful new addition to the Library is a gift in memory of long-time Library supporter, Myrtle Lock by a group of her friends. Thank You! |
