Building on tradition

Volunteerism is a crucial, year-round part of what we do at United Way.
Our Seasons of Caring initiative offers a new way to give back every season. This spring, the focus will be on early childhood education and literacy.
In 2018, 7969 volunteers donated 22,907 hours to 483 projects. During National Volunteer Week alone, 402 people volunteered for a total of 925 hours. That’s an impact of $22,317 in donated labor.
Every year during National Volunteer Week, United Way for Southeastern Michigan celebrates volunteerism. When we bring corporate partners and individual volunteers together, we can tackle tough challenges and build stronger communities.
