Manistee County Library to offer spring author mini-series @manisteelibrary via @manisteenews #michiganwriters #michlit #motownwriters

MANISTEE — Readers will have the opportunity to meet regional authors next month during the Manistee County Library’s Author Series, which has connected Michigan writers to their readers for more than a decade.
The series has been a popular addition to the fall programs offered at Manistee County Library, and this year they will be bringing in authors year-round, starting with the upcoming spring mini-series.
Julie Cirone, assistant director, said the annual program has been a favorite among patrons.
“In the fall we offered an author series with typically six to eight authors,” she said. “We are doing a mini series this spring, and we have three opportunities for people to come and hear authors who have neat ideas and get a new perspective.”
Authors that are featured in the series will talk about their life and work, and the audience is invited to ask questions. There will also be book signings and refreshments.
“It’s really a nice time to mingle with the authors and find out more about them,” she said. “It’s nice to learn about different people and the interesting things they do.”
