   Fall Library Hours  The Library will be closed on September 5th in honor  of Labor Day.  Sunday hours (1-5pm) resume on  September 11.  Hope to see you then!   |  
   One Week Left...   |  
   A Free Day at the DIA & More!  Through the end of the month, you can enjoy the lifesize reproduction of Seascape:  Sunset by Martin Johnson Heade on the Library patio as part of the Detroit Institute of Arts' Inside/Out program.  Register  for our special DIA program to learn more about one of the greatest art  museums in the U.S. on August 25 at 7pm.  The DIA has also invited Novi  residents to visit the DIA free of charge on August 7.    |  
   Shop for a Cause  Buy  a "Shop for a Cause" pass for $5 at the Check Out Desk to receive 25%  off merchandise at Macy's on August 27 and be eligible to win a $500  gift card.  All proceeds benefit the Library.    |                     Calling All Teens!  Start  the school year off right, by joining the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at  the August 12 meeting from 3:30-4:30pm.  Help the Library plan future  teen events and earn volunteer credit.  For Grades 9-12.         |  
  A Second Year of Novi Newbies !  Thank you to our sponsors of this year's Novi Newbies program:  The Friends of the Novi Public Library, Novi Chamber of Commerce, Novi  Rotary, and Providence Park Hospital.  The program welcomes new babies,  who are residents of Novi and born at Providence Hospital, with their  first book bag.  The bag is filled with a book, bib, onesie, and  community information - all to promote the importance of reading to  infants.  An average of 20 bags/month has been provided to Novi's newest  residents through this program.  |  
   Help Save a Life...   You can donate blood on August 29 at the Novi Public Library from 1- 7pm.  Make an appointment at (248) 912-5910 or online using the sponsor code:  novilibrary.  Walk-ins are welcome when possible.  Remember, there are no holidays or vacations when it comes to blood needs.   |  
   Crop for a Cause Weekend:  Oct 7-9  The  Library is hosting 30 hours of scrapbooking fun to benefit the Youth  Programming Initiatives.  A donation of $100.00 per person entitles a  cropper to a 3 foot workspace, 6 meals, refreshments, door prizes, use  of an Accu-Cut machine, and more!  Creative Memories Consultant, Mary  Gantt, will also be on site to sell products and demonstrate new  techniques!  Register now by calling Library Administration at (248) 869-7204.   |
