SPECIAL GUESTS:
Kelechukwu Abstinent Brnfre, as listed on FB, or 'CHUK' as people call him, is from Indiana and is co-host/co-producer of the largest poetry series in Gary, “Beautiful Soul”. Not always "behind" the scenes, he is also a spoken word artist with a published book titled, Les Cinquantes Sonnets (50 Sonnets). www.beautifulsoulgary.com www.chukwuismblog.com

Kay Joe, "UNscripted", a native of Gary, IN, is a traveled spoken word artist, who has opened for Nikki Giovanni and performed in various venues nation wide. He also produces and co-hosts a show "ONE NIGHT ONLY" in Chicago, IL. "UNscripted" can be described most simply through his words. "After the Pain...There's Healing...and Hopefully a new Perspective ...Trace your Scars only to Remember…Whatever the Affliction....You survived It...Life is a Lesson a Day...When you Pay..Attention." "....Know that you possess the power… LOVE YOURSELF..Once you have accomplished this... Proficiently...Share that love... As it was meant to be...Infectious..." ~UNscripted

Mataya, aka LUUV, a young poet and one of the newest members of the Street Poets Society recently started experimenting with writing poetry around age 10. She has since found a passion for poetry. What inspires her is music, people, & her everyday emotions. She frequently performs on Fridays at Poetry Pit Stop at Youthville. In the future, Mataya would love to continue writing & get her poems published. She believes one should "expect the unexpected" and that anything is possible.

Edith BREWSTER has a love of both people and words which inspired her to write and share her poetry from family gatherings to churches, workshops, city meetings, and other settings. She has been requested to write verses for special occasions and wrote her first poem over 80 years ago at the age of 10. Edith's love for her audience is revealed in the light on her face and in the strength and passion of her voice. We pray you will enjoy her many expressions of love, joy, surrender, devotion, & community in her poetic verses straight from the heart.
