Presents Harry Potter as Mythic Hero,  6:30 pm Harry Potter is a model mythic hero who experiences stages of growth,  learns moral virtues, challenges conventional boundaries, faces supernatural forces, and commits to an ultimate sacrifice. His voyage of self-discovery becomes that of the reader whether young or old.    Weeks of Romance Begins February 1 - February 14!  The Friends are spreading romance through the library by offering Free Romance Books to all library patrons! Stop in and pick up yours!    Thursday, February 2, 2012 TAB (Teen Advisory Board),  4:00 pm Creating a New World with Colleen Gleason - For Writers and Readers, 6:30 pm Colleen Gleason, acclaimed Livingston County author, has created very believable and very different world in the vampire slayer series set in Regency England and then in the post-apocalyptic series written as Joss Ware. Come learn as a writer and a reader what it takes to create a believable, but fictional, world. Books for sale and signing.  E-readers User Group, 6:30 pm  Meet other e-reader users, lend each other books, share tips and know-how. Registration - Village.
