On the road again...
It's the time of year that I select books, box 'em up, load the van and drive south to participate in the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair March 9-11.  I'll also be bringing my books to the 55th Michigan Antiquarian Book and Paper Show April 1.  Later in the spring I'll be at the Ann Arbor Book Fair May 20.  Sorry to report that I'm not able to attend the NOBS Akron Antiquarian Book & Paper Fair April 6-7.

I hope to see many of you at one of these events, but if they are too far away I have a solution for you.  I have created a Virtual Book Fair category where you will find everything that is going on the road with us.  Click here to shop the fairs from home!

Colors Of A Man

In this week's Spotlight we feature "Colors Of A Man" by Tia Stewart.

Colors of a Man, "Tribute to African-American Men" is poetry about African-American men and the women who love them.

This poetry book is an in-depth look into the souls of men and women. In this book of poems, about everyday Joe's to CEO's, African- American men are compared to the great masterpiece paintings.

President Barack Obama is one of the many historical African-American men to whom the author pays homage. Using some of the same southern styles and celebrated genres as famous poets, Maya Angelou, Rita Dove, and Nikki Giovanni, Colors of A Man, "Tribute to African-American Men" handles tough subjects such as incarceration rates for our black youth, domestic violence, interracial love, cougar relationships, media views of African- Americans relationships, black family values, Christian marriages, health issues, and pastors in the pulpit, plus various other topics in Tia Stewart's series of books, "Colors of A Man".

She writes in several genres, but poetry is her passion.

Ms. Stewart is an RN, who attended Northwestern University and is an alumnus of Norfolk State University, and Excelsior University. She also attended the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University for one year before becoming a full- time mommy. Tia lives in Chesterfield, Virginia with her family.
