Listen @ The Library Sunday, February 5 at 3pm In an innovative new partnership, PNC Bank, The Chamber Music Society of Detroit, and the Novi Public Library bring world class chamber music to Novi. These free, one-of-a-kind concerts, featuring internationally acclaimed artists will introduce chamber music in an entertaining and interactive way. Thank You! The Scrapbook for a Cause event held on January 21st raised $340. Proceeds from the event will help offset the costs of performers and programs offered to the youth in the Novi community by the Library. Special appreciation to Maria's Italian Bakery and Penn Station for donating food for the event and to our scrapbooking consultant, Mary Gantt. If you missed this one, don't worry! The Library is planning another scrapbooking event this summer. | Help Save a Life! Support the American Red Cross Blood Drive on February 8 from 12:30-6pm at the Library. Save the Date: Friday, April 27, 7-10pm ...for the second annual Book It! Fundraiser. Last year's event raised over $10,000 for the Youth Collections. Hollywood Nights is this year's theme, which will support the Library's Multimedia Collections of DVDs, Blu-Rays, and video gaming. Thanks to sponsors Steve and Rocky's, Providence Park Hospital, and Telcom Credit Union. Enjoy an evening of shopping, sipping, and sampling for a donation of $20 per individual and $35 per couple. Tickets will be available in early March. |
Just for High Schoolers! Submit your poem or short story for the Teen Writing Contest no later than 5pm on Friday, March 9. Winners of $50, $25, and $10 Barnes & Noble gift certificates will be announced the week of March 26th. Learn More. |
Tax Forms In! Federal and State tax forms are available in the Copy Center on the first floor next to the Book Nook. The full collection of forms and instructions is expected mid-February. |
More Help for Families Back by popular demand, the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency will continue to provide help with transportation, health, education, finances, and other support services - right at the Library - Tuesdays from 11am-1pm through June 2012. |
