Chelsea's 125th Anniversary Celebration|Stories of Chelsea
In 1959, the citizens of Chelsea went all out with a summer-long celebration of Chelsea's 125th Anniversary. Community members built a log cabin in the parking lot next to Heydlauff's to act as headquarters for the event planners, who expected the celebration to bring thousands into the town. Don Turner brought out his camera and recorded video of the week onto 16mm film, which was later donated to the library. Highlights include footage of square dances, elaborate parades, and, of course, the eventual shaving of the beards. | Chelsea's 125th Anniversary |

Friends of the Library President Publishes eBook with Daughter
Inspired by her daughter's story written as an assignment for her 2nd grade class at North Creek Elementary, Friends of Chelsea District Library President, Cynthia Silveri, decided to draw pictures for the story about a snow creature. Cynthia had been researching book publishing since last fall when she participated in NaNoWriMo-National Novel Writing Month-and was intrigued with the idea of self-publishing an eBook.
The Snow Bunny, written by Marisol Silveri and illustrated by Cynthia Silveri, is currently available for the Amazon Kindle on amazon.com.
