We will be hosting a wine tasting event in conjunction with our friends at Alpine Tavern here at 7pm on Tuesday the 27th.  The ticket price includes a copy of Parker's Wine Bargains, which features some of the wines that we will be tasting.  Click here for more info and to order your tickets.  Limited seating. Jane Knuth Signs on Sat., March 31 Jane Knuth returns to sign the sequel to Saturn favorite Thrift Store Saints on Saturday, March 31st.     This is a 'sit and sign' event, so stop by any time between 11:30 and 1:30 to meet Jane and have your copies signed.  Her books would make a great gift (Easter basket goodie?) for your caring friends.  She will be happy to personalize copies as gifts, so plan to stock up!   Greetings! March came in like a LION here in Northern MI - I was in Chicago at the Assoc. of Writers and Writing Programs show and flew back home to knee-deep snow and lots of downed trees - geez! Here's to the 'out like a lamb' bit!.... I wanted to  1)give you the opportunity to be the first to get tickets for our wine tasting event later this month, 2)tell you about our next author signing, and 3) give our World Book Night givers a heads up... But mostly, I wanted to ask for your help in spreading the word about all of the fun new toys, games and baby items here at Saturn.  We are, of course, first and foremost a BOOKstore, but that happy fact is also a stumbling block for me.  I know how to find and talk to book lovers about books, but I'm not as sure how to get the jungle drums beating about all of the great, unique kid items we are adding. We all have friends and family members who are (inexplicably) not huge readers, and we want THEM to come check us out, too.  So the next time you talk to someone with kids in their life, I'd be forever grateful if you would send them in for a peek! There are lots of activities, toys and games that will be perfect for spring break travels, as well as lots of Easter Basket goodies!    Attention World Book Night Givers If you were selected as one of the lucky givers of 20 of the ONE MILLION FREE BOOKS that will be given out on April 23rd, and you wanted to choose Saturn as your pickup spot but didn't find us on the locator map, PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP!  There was a glitch that left us off of the pickup map, but the WBN team has emailed us all of the givers who have who listed a Gaylord address.  All of those people have been contacted and will be joining us on the 23rd for the reception and give-away.  Several other people have contacted us as well, and they have been added.  BUT THE WBN FOLKS DIDN'T SEND US PEOPLE WHO LISTED AN ADDRESS OTHER THAN GAYLORD (SUCH AS LEWISTON, ETC.), so we won't know about you and WON'T HAVE your books here if you don't contact us right away.   The WBN folks are trying very hard to make up for the mess, but it is possible that someone will fall through the cracks.  Don't let it be you!
