"Joseph Zettelmaier triumphs again!"
4 out of 4 stars

In today's Detroit Free Press,
Dead Man's Shoes theatre critic John Monaghan heralds Joseph Zettelmaier as the "best and most prolific playwright working in Michigan today."

In the 4 star review of Joe's newest play, Dead Man's Shoes, he says:

"the Western tale is a feast of set design and performance in service of a richly textured script. Along with combining history and myth, the show delivers some simple truths about friendship, redemption and the dignity of man in a world where life is exceedingly cheap."

Dead Man's Shoes begins tonight with a pay-what-you-can preview. This show is a limited engagement that will close on April 8!

  "Joe Z Goes West"
featured in the Ann Arbor Observer

How exactly does a play go from
Joe Zettelmaier page to stage?

Davi Napoleon spent months following the process of putting together Dead Man's Shoes.
Her journey, and the play's, is chronicled in this month's Ann Arbor Observer.

"'Are you calling me fat?' the rotund prisoner asks the inmate in the next cell. It's dirty and dark in the North Dakota jail, and soon Jean-Phillipe DeLaRoux Baptiste, better known as Froggy, will have problems that are bigger than his waistline, bigger than being jailed. Lynch mobs run rampant in the Wild West...." read the rest of the article

Wear Green for St. Patrick's Day to win a family four-pack of tickets!

March 17, 1pmFables Galore
$7 for kids and $10 for adults

In celebration of the holiday, we will be giving away a family four-pack of tickets, redeemable for any children's show in the coming year, to one lucky winner who wears green during our children's performance, Fabliscious.

This musical comedy features all of the classic fables, but with a modern flair. This delightfully entertaining performance humorously reminds children (and adults!) of the lessons and morals that have been taught for thousands of years.
