Falling temperatures and prices

Golf season is over, baseball is into the playoffs, and football is in full swing.  I guess I have to admit that summer is over and fall is here.

That sucks!  Let's have a sale!

From now until my next newsletter you can save 15% on your order.  Just buy more than one book:

Enter FALL during checkout and save 15% on two or more books

And don't forget - any order of $50 or more qualifies for free media shipping in the U.S. (sorry international customers!).  Just look for and select the option (FREEMEDIA) during checkout.

Latest additions to inventory
I have 166 books ready for you to look at, plunder from the first wave of fall sales.  There are a lot of old favorites and quite a few interesting new items.  Please take the time to check them out.  Into the movies?  These new finds were filmed:  All the President's Men (Bernstein & Woodward), A Dry White Season(Andre Brink), The Philadelphian (Richard Powell), Indecent Proposal (Jack Engelhard), Point of Impact (Stephen Hunter),East of Eden (John Steinbeck), Water for Elephants (Sara Gruen), The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (Chris Fuhrman), andThe Bourne Identity (Robert Ludlum).  I scored four firsts ofSharon Kay Penman's first book, The Sunne in Splendour, one of them signed.  Are you a Justified fan?  If so you might be interested in G.C. Jones' Growing Up Hard in Harlan County.  And finally, there are three unusual Taylor Caldwell titles.

Odds and Ends

Legally Blonde - The Musical at Stagecrafters has closed.  I hope some of you had a chance to see it.  Now I get a couple of weeks off to recover and then do two weeks of Fiddler on the Roof.  How could I turn it down?  It's got such a great clarinet book!  More shows coming in November, December and Janurary - details soon.

Recent reads:  The Shadow Patrol by Alex Berenson.  This guy continues to deliver.  Shar and I have been big fans from the time we read The Faithful Spy.  If you want to feel like you've just lived through a few weeks in Afghanistan, give this one a try.  It won't take you long.  Highly recommended!

I'm currently reading Slider by Patrick Robinson.  There is jacket praise from several major league players and I enjoyed the author's previous naval submarine thrillers.  I still haven't decided about this one.  Review next time.
