Dworkin, a talented violinist, MacArthur Fellow and recently-named 2011 White House Champion of Change, chronicles his journey through social isolation and discrimination in this engaging and stirring autobiography to his rise as founder of the internationally-renowned Sphinx Organization, which focuses on youth development and diversity in classical music. The organization holds its annual Sphinx Competition at Orchestra Hall every February.   Dworkin has received local and national recognition for his accomplishments.
