| KDL Celebrates 75 Get ready to celebrate! On Tuesday, October 18 from 7-10 pm, the KDL Fund will host KDL Celebrates: Dewey to Digital in 75. This blockbuster party will highlight 75 years of KDL -- from its humble beginnings during the Great Depression to one of Michigan's most respected and busiest library systems. The evening will come alive with local & national authors, food and drink, and incredible library offerings our founders couldn't begin to imagine -- from eBooks to online databases. There will be a taste of something for every guest. Tickets for KDL Celebrates are $75 each and proceeds will support KDL Fund efforts on behalf of early literacy programs and preserving quality library services for the next 75 years. | Sesame Street Live Giveaway  Sesame Street Live is coming to Van Andel Arena, and KDL in partnership with VEE Corporation, will be providing our patrons with a chance to win a family 4-pack of tickets to the show! Get ready to make music with Elmo, The Count, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie and all their funny and furry friends, November 11-13. | Celebrate the Season  It's that spooky time of year again, when Halloween decorations adorn the neighborhood and children prepare to trick-or-treat in their favorite costumes. KDL is celebrating the season with a number of great fall programs and resources. Make your own jack-o-lantern at our Pumpkin Carving program, design your own fall-themed craft at our Harvest Party, or check out one of our many great Halloween books or movies.

| Early Childhood Essentials  KDL's Early Childhood Essentials (ECE) classes provide parents and caregivers helpful early childhood development tips and information. Participants can receive state-required professional development hours or just come to learn something new. Topics include Dealing with Allergies, Kindergarten Readiness, and more. Engaging, educational, and fun, KDL's ECE classes will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to help your child succeed. KDL also offers free off-site classes to organizations in the KDL service area.
