The Military Writers Society of America announced the 2011 book awards last week, in conjunction with the MWSA 2011 Annual Conference. My World War I historical novel Once A Knight earned a Bronze Medal in the Historical Fiction (Event) category. From the MWSA website:
It is particularly gratifying to receive recognition from such an illustrious group of fellow writers.
MWSA President Joyce Faulkner, herself an accomplished author, has posted the various award winners on a set of Amazon Listmania lists, including the Bronze Medalists.
In addition, the book I co-authored with Jan Forsgren and Mike Little — T-41 Mescalero: The Military Cessna 172 — received an Honorable Mention in the Nonfiction History category.
You can view the complete list of award winners by downloading the PDF file from the MWSA website.
