Get Ready, Get Set, Grow – it's all about growing revenues and profits!
Going after large corporate accounts and federal contracts takes on a whole new role in your business. This year's Leadership Institute for Women will cover topics that will help you to position your company to start taking on more business. The day will begin an optional session on of Maximizing your WBENC Certification presented by Pamela Smith, Certification Program Manager of Women Business Enterprise Council — Great Lakes. The Get Ready session Passion to Profi t presented by Ursula Scroggs, CPA and Jean Stenger, CPA of both with Derderian, Kann, Seyferth & Salucci, P.C.. Accounting is the language of business. The interactive talk will inspire you to know and use your numbers to successfully manage your growth, your business and your bottom line. Get Set with Jan McDermott of Whale Hunter, she will present on getting your sales process poised to be productive in the 2012 economic recovery. Is your sales; plan, process and team in place for effective grow business development activities. Michelle Richards, WBEC – Great Lakes President, will give a State of Address on the business opportunities for women owned businesses, in the corporate and federals areas. Then she will moderate a panel of corporate buyers that will share real talk on what it takes to do business with their companies. Pointers to help you GROW! A Growth Exercise will be combined with lunch. We will break out into smaller groups for a working lunch with colleagues and a corporate leader. The objective of the working lunch is to debrief the corporate buyer's panel discussion and share with each other. After lunch everyone will stay in their designated group for an exercise that will consist of composing a corporate proposal together. The group will select a leader to present the proposal, thereby allowing everyone to benefi t from each group's gained knowledge. - Continental breakfast, lunch and materials are included.
- Registration will open at 7:30 am, 7:45 am to 8:45 am is the optional session of Maximizing your WBE Certification
- Leadership Institute will start at 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- Early registration of $100.00 to March 1. After March 2nd, cost is $125.00.
