Introducing Erin Sabo,
PNT's new Managing Director After interning with PNT twelveyears ago, Erin received her Bachelor's Degree at Albion College and her Masters of Fine Arts in Producing Theater and Film from California Institute of the Arts.
While at CalArts, Erin had the privilege of working with Suzan-Lori Parks and Raelle Myrick Hodges on the West Coast Premiere of In The Blood and Karin Coonrod on an avant-garde approach to All's Well That Ends Well. She also received the Motion Picture of Arts and Sciences grant for her work on Me and You and Everyone We Know.
After graduating from CalArts, Erin moved to New York City where she worked with MCC Theater, Telsey and Co. Casting, Fire Dept. Theater Company, Trevor Brown Productions and ran her own event and production company.
Erin looks forward to meeting all of the PNT patrons, donors, and artists as we move into our 31st season! |
Fireside Festival playwright profile: Lia Romeo, Hungry Lia Romeo earned her B.A. incomparative literature from Princeton University and her M.F.A. in playwriting from Rutgers. Her play Green Whales was developed at the Kennedy Center, and received its world premiere from Kansas City's Unicorn Theatre. Her play Right Place, Right Time was a finalist for the O'Neill National Playwrights' Conference, and received its world premiere from the Renegade Theatre Experiment. She is also a humor book author and novelist; she and her brother Nick are co-authors of 11,002 Things to Be Miserable About which garnered favorable reviews in the Boston Globe and other national publications.
Lia was the National New Play Network's Emerging Playwright-in-Residence at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey. The Fireside Festival will mark her first time at Performance Network, also a member of the National New Play Network.
Hungry will be presented on June 25th at 7pm.

Acting Class, ages 7-11 Mondays - Fridays, 4:30 - 6:00pm June 18 - 29, 2012 Cost: $100.00 Taught by Children's Theatre Network Director, Becky Fox and long-time instructor and actor, Anne Rhoades, this class will teach: - Creative thinking, self-esteem and teamwork through games - Improvisation - Acting as play! - Warm-ups, breathing and vocal exercises Students will create a play and perform for family and friends on the last day of class.
