would like to see your best representations of the n
ight life. You may use your cell phone camera, a digital camera, or film. Please submit your photos to teenlibrarian@baldwinlib.org. The last day to submit photos is on Wed., Aug. 1 at 11:59 p.m. The winners will be announced on Thurs., Aug. 9 and all photos will be displayed in the Baldwin Public Library Teen Zone!

"Own the Night" with homemade lanterns/luminarias. Create your own unique lanterns to light up the night. Use techniques such as stamping, stenciling, punching and more. All supplies provided at this special joint program with Youth & Teen.

 

High School Book Club

 Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Grades 9-12, Books will appeal to teens ages 14-18.

Looking for a more mature read? Try our High School Book Club! Come alone or with a friend to enjoy an older teen read or an adult title with teen appeal. Stop by the Adult Services desk for a copy of the book.  This month we're reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

 

Media Night @ the Library  

Thursday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Grades 7-12, No registration required

Drop in and play our Xbox with Kinect and Wii. Feel free to bring along your games to play with your friends. Remember to label your own equipment. Don't feel like playing video games? We'll also have
a movie playing on the big screen. Bring along a friend or two!

Dinosaurs, Dragons and Dreams

PaleoJoe brings dinosaurs to life with a variety of amazing fossils, and a high-energy program that will make you feel as if you are actually there with the dinosaurs, millions of years ago.

Shooting Stars, Rock Stars, Falling Stars, the Moon and Stars are all going into the creative star maker to bring a family-friendly preschool-early reader music show. 

Tween Computer Animation  
Wednesday, July 25 at 3:00 p.m.
Grades 3-6

Dream up a spooky (or not-so-spooky) story and bring it to life using a cool animation tool complete with sound. 

Stuffed Animal Sleepover 
Monday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m.
All ages. Register Here

Come in your pajamas and bring your stuffed animal for bedtime stories. Then tuck your animals into bed, kiss them goodnight, and leave them to spend the night at the Library. Come back the next day to pick them up. See what fun they had with their sleepover buddies.
