| | Stop in to meet: Brenda Hasse, author of Wilkinshire, 2011 Midwest Book Award for Young Adult Fiction.  Buzz Harcus, author of Web of Greed, which features detective Sam August.  Mindi S. Johnson-Eluwole. This backpacking author has traveled the world and shares her adventures in Travel: Travel Stories and Life Lessons.  ...and Professor E.J. Wolf, author of kids' picture books Who's Afraid of the Zimbaroo and Let's Go to the Zoo. This event is, of course, free and open to the public. Please stop in to chat, meet and greet and check out their work! |

Joseph Heywood, beloved author of the Woods Cop series, which is set in the U.P., will speak at the Eagles Club in Grayling on Mon., Oct 24th and they've asked us to be there to sell copies of his books to benefit the Fraternal Order of Police. The event is free and open to the public. Can't make the event? Buy your books at Saturn and leave them with us - we'll make sure he autographs them for you! |

| | The National Writers Series in Traverse City is hosting Jeffrey Eugenides (Middlesex and the forthcoming Marriage Plot) and funny man David Sedaris this month. We have a very limited number of special ticket packages for Saturn customers. The price includes the event ticket, the book at 20% off and none of the handling fees charged if you get tickets in TC.

| | Whew...I told you it's a lot. The renovations continue apace...lots is changing - I'm trying to keep updated pics on the website - but don't let the construction keep you away - we are open for business every day and need you to keep shopping so we can PAY for it all - haha! And don't forget we are still shipping signed, first editions of Michael Moore's memoir, Here Comes Trouble, all over the world and are planning to work an event at the State Theater in TC for him, and then host him here in Gaylord sometime during the holidays.  There is ALWAYS something happening at your hometown bookstore! Stay tuned... jill |
