Fw: Purple Rose Theatre @pntheatre Stage Manager Reveals What Happens Behind the Scenes via @chelsealibrary
Purple Rose Theatre Company Interactive Workshop
This workshop will be led by Purple Rose Theatre Company Resident Stage Manager, Stephanie Buck, who will reveal the biggest mystery in the theatre world: "What does a Stage Manger do?"
She'll provide inside information on the training, the tasks and the procedures of working behind the scenes on a professional production, and challenge audience members to try their hand at various tasks: from executing a quick costume change, to rehearsal duties like taking line notes and blocking notes. Other PRTC artists will be involved for demonstrations and a Q&A.
Join Civil War Historian George Till for a program on Michigan's involvement in the Civil War. The presentation will cover Chelsea's involvement in the war and will include a viewing of the short film Oh, Could They But Speak. The film centers on the importance of Michigan's Civil War battle flags and the work done to conserve them.
