Join the ACGL For Arts Summit
Event to Connect Arts Community to
Broad Art Museum Programming
May 1, 2012 starting at 9:15am
In an effort to excite, engage, and educate the greater Lansing community about the soon-to-open Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing cordially invites the regional arts and cultural community to a free Arts Summit on Tuesday, May 1 at 9:15am held at the MSU Kellogg Center Lincoln Room. This unique opportunity is in response to numerous questions about Broad programming and how the arts community can connect to it as a part of their season planning.
Join us as we welcome Founding Director Michael Rush, Deputy Director Min Jung Kim, Curator of Contemporary Art Alison Gass, and Curator of Performances and Public Programs Dan Hirsch. We look forward to learning about the vision for the museum and how it came to be; seeing pictures of the building construction in progress; receiving a curatorial overview; and learning about the plans for public programs. Introductions will be followed by a moderated question and answer period.
Light refreshments will be provided. Attendance to the Arts Summit is free and sponsored by MSU Governmental Affairs. If you are an artist, arts or cultural organization representative, arts educator, arts business owner, or interested community member, please join us to network and learn about this new community asset!
