Artist Cynthia Hagedorn will lead a brief lecture on the artist followed by a workshop. For ages 14 and up. Claude Monet was a French painter who is best known as the leader of Impressionism. He captured the essence of his work by creating with pastels"en plein air," or outside. Learn about his life and times and then create with us en plein air. (Rain project: replicating his haystacks using oil pastels). Pastels and lapboards provided. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
