| 2013 Swearing In Ceremony Update

| We have taken in quite a few of your suggestions on how to make the 2013 trip to Washington D.C. even better than 2009 trip to the inauguration. One of the biggest changes is there an extra day added to relax and tour Baltimore, Maryland.
We will be departing by motor coach (equipped with a restroom) from Detroit at 6:00 AM on Sunday, January 20th. We will see sights as we travel to our destination in Washington D.C.area for the 2013 Swearing In Ceremony. We will arrive at our hotel in the late afternoon.
On Wednesday, January 23rd, you will enjoy breakfast before departing the hotel to return back to Detroit, arriving late Wednesday evening. This will be a perfect time to discuss this Historic Event.
The price per person is $469.00 based on double occupancy. There is an early bird rate of $399.00 if you pay in full. Single occupancy rate is available. Visit our website for details. Final payment is due on or before December 14, 2012.
For anyone traveling from outside of the Detroit area, the travel club can assist you wish overnight or transportation arrangements. Deposit can be made by credit or debit card online at Inauguration or by calling (248) 237-4969. |

| There Are 2nd Saturday Tasting at LIV Resto Lounge This Month Of May. Everyone is welcome to join us at LIV Resto Lounge in Downtown Detroit on Saturday, May 12th starting at 6:00 PM for our revamped tastings at our new location. Tastings are still facilitated by Chuck "The Wine Guy" Jackson. The focus this month is Rose wines. Mac will be in the house. Who is Mac you asked? You will have to come and meet him.. Our special guest is author Michelle Taylor with her book "Taylor's Word On Debt." There will be alcohol free tastings for those who do not drink along with hot appetizers. On Saturday, May 19th at 6:00 PM our special guest will be author Dr. Rose Moten with her book entitled "Bloom."

Shirley and Pam will facilitate the dance class. The class will feature old, new, fast, slow, easy and not so easy hustles.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the return of the TCA Walkers on Wednesday's beginning at 5:00 PM. We will start walking on the scenic Detroit River Front Walkway from the Rivard Street Plaza to Joe Louis Area in Downtown Detroit each Wednesday until the weather tells us to quit. The only cost to walk with us is a commitment to do so weekly. You will need to sign up in advance at www.tcatravelclub.com.
"Sparkle" Dinner & A Movie Night August 18th Here is your chance to walk our Red Carpet to our next Dinner & A Movie Night on August 18th to see the film shot in Detroit "Sparkle."
The evening begins with a red carpet entrance to the cocktail hour at LIV Resto Lounge.at 3:00 PM. Dinner is going to be at Ginopolis BBQ Smokehouse. | There have been a few times over the years when I wonder if I made the right decision to continue with the travel club or shut it down all together. This past week I talked to several people from the West Coast that have traveled with us in the past. A couple of the calls almost had me teary eyed as they thanked us for their wonderful memories we had provided for them. I would be remorse if I didn't past along the "Thank You's" .to Hellen, Pam & Lynn for their dedication during those years.
For the past & present club members and those from the west coast that traveled with us to 2009 Presidential Inauguration and who have contacted me over the past couple of weeks, the information for 2013's trip to Washington D.C. is up on our website. I am going to suggest you take a visit and read the information provided. For the church groups who have contacted me, I will provide additional information shortly.
| There is serious talk of going to Baltimore, Maryland for a crab feast on the weekend of August 24-26, 2012. We need 30 minimum people to go at a cost estimated at $399.00 per person for us to run a motor coach there. There are 3 travel groups interested in making this happen. If you are seriously interested in going, drop us an email at TCATRAVELCLUB@AOL.COM with "Crab Feast" in subject box.
You will also need to be prepared to place a $100 deposit by May 25th. Let's make it happen. On Saturday, October 5th come ride the Friendship Train to Chicago with author, motivational speaker, Tammy Turner. I am going to strongly suggest you reserve your seat early before Amtrak raises their rates.
