Dear Sylvia,

Please join us in welcoming over 40 area authors! The Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Kearsley St., is hosting its first Book Expo with established and emerging authors on Saturday, May 19,
1-5 p.m. Forty authors, most of whom are from the Flint area, two publishers and a book agent have confirmed.

The authors will be selling, signing and talking about their work. "The Flint Public Library is proud to support the authors of this community and look at this Book Expo as another chance to showcase all of the literary talent in the area." said FaLessia Booker, Assistant Librarian at the Flint Public Library and event coordinator.

Confirmed authors represent various types of literature. Authors in the fiction genre include urban fiction, street fiction, science fiction, techno-thriller, mystery and erotica. Others represent finance, self-improvement, business, memoirs, poetry and education. There are children's authors, those who write for young adults and adults.

Admission is free. For more information call (810) 232-7111; www.fpl.info; email askus@fpl.info.
