Today's Opportunity Submissions Call: 7th Annual Short Cuts Film Festival Submissions are now open for the 2012 Short Cuts Festival. The Short Cuts Festival was founded in 2005 by Wil Sylvince who recognized the need for this platform because of the challenges he faced trying to showcase his work to key decision makers within the entertainment industry. His dream became a reality when NBC Universal supported his vision to launch this initiative. The festival, which takes place in New York and Los Angeles this September and October, serves as a showcase for writers, actors, directors, TV creators and filmmakers from around the United States. Creative individuals get the opportunity to get their material in front of key decision makers from the entire NBC Universal family. Some submission rules: - The writer, director, producer or cast of the short or video must be either ethnically/culturally diverse, or of a diverse background (including LGBT community and people with disabilities).
