There isn't much time to mope however when she learns that Miles is still in town and is still carrying a torch for her. Is it possible to get a second chance at your first love? Medical Marijuana: What is Legal?

Medical Marijuana PanelOn November 4, 2008, Michigan voters approved the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act, providing protections for the use of medical marijuana in the state. As the law has taken effect, issues have arisen about how the law is implemented.

What should people and municipalities do to follow the law correctly? What types of infractions are police seeing? What crimes are being prosecuted?

Our panel of experts will explain. Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

Library Earns Two "Best of Show" Awards for Publicity Materials

The Chelsea District Library can now add two more awards to its resume: "Best of Show" in two categories: library newsletter and promotion of a website.

The Library Leadership and Management Association  (LLAMA) Public Relations and Marketing Section (PRMS) PR Xchange Committee announced today the results of this year's "Best of Show" competition for library publicity materials.  Several hundred entries in print and electronic formats were submitted from a wide array of libraries around the country including public, academic, school, state, and consortiums. Entries were appraised on the quality of the content, originality, design, format and effectiveness.

The library entered its fall 2011 newsletter and print materials promoting the library's local history website, Stories of Chelsea. Both entries won "Best of Show" in its class; libraries with annual operating budgets under two million dollars.
